There wasn't any time to think. One moment she was there, then, woosh, buildings were on fire again and everything was generally terrible. An executive decision had to be made; which was also terrible because she was not an executive. She didn't even own a suit. And she only had a split second to decide what to do anyway.

She decided that; if she *could*, it'd probably be best to like, *stop* the hyperkinetic smurf lady from another universe as she tore up the place. The sooner she was stopped, the sooner people would stop dying, yeah?

So she looked real hard at her... and then... something unlikely would happen to her. Though whether it would actually hurt her, was anyone's guess. Which was also unfortunate, because Frankie would prefer it was only up to her to guess, so that she could guess that it would hurt a lot and thereby win the game.

If she had noticed it, she did not show it, but she had smashed through what was an apparent life size replica, or maybe the real Titanic from another universe? Thankfully it must have been empty when it hit the flying, would be, iceberg.

It joined the rubble of the city crumbling around the heroes.

Galatea stared wide eyed at the destruction, the screams of fear deafened her, the burst of energy and debris making a play on her skin.

There was a scream from deep within her has she dove in a collapsing building, shifting her form mid stride. She would not let others die if she could do otherwise.

Muscle tensed and grew as she shielded bystanders with of body.

She roared in pain as her flesh burned

But they were saved

She continued to move on to help others and move people to any safe place they could find

Bea did not hesitate. She had to save as many people as she could.

She thought of Patches. His nice family. Were they alright? If she died tonight, a few less people would. That was all she could ever do.

It hit her hard.

https://sakkaku.org/r/18384 Toughness 11 vs 26. 3 degrees of failure? The physical part might be slightly mitigated as it simply changes her to bee form.

(Bea was staggered)

Thousand Miles grabbed one of the civilians on the street - a panicking woman just turning to flee - and tried to teleport them to safety, but gets caught in the blast radius and knocked out.

Tsehay Moqe was outclassed, she knew it, whatever this being was extremely powerful so she turned her focus to protecting those she could. It was impossible to save everyone, but she could save enough, the blue elite, whoever it was, was too fast.

Seeing the destruction and her allies falling she cried out, “Stop… stop this senseless bloodshed!”

The titanic, it did nothing?!

Frankie was still hidden, probably, taking it all in. The destruction had stopped, for the time being. Talking about annexation, blah blah, extra dimensional invasion. She wasn't a lizard person, so that was good. Different dimensional invaders? Still bad. Friends down on the ground, people dead? Pretty terrible.

What to do? What to do. At least for the moment, the angry blue thing wasn't hurting people; but that could change at any moment. It probably would if anyone went up to her to try to fight her.

Fortunately, Frankie didn't have to do that, and her powers were too weird and subtle to be traced back to anyone as an attack, yeah? Well, if one thing failed, maybe another wouldn't? Maybe she could weird her out long enough for some big heavy hitters to show up?

So she *stared* at the woman some more. And then more weird shit happened.

Galatea busied herself getting as much people as she could into safety. She briefly glanced at the blue invader, thankful for the reprieve.

A murder of crows, but not just any crows ninja crows, descended and tried to distract and harass the woman but she swiped with her hand and the crows were evaporated. Too many ninjas, it was simple ninja logic. The more ninjas the less effective they were.

Stupid crows.

Bea was staggered. She considered trying to attack the woman, but there was no reason to cause her to attack when she seemed poised to leave.

She already felt a crushing guilt that her attempt to pacify her had led her to cause so much harm to so many.

She couldn't move as well, from her injuries, but she could calm a section of terrified citizens so they could flee to safety.

Save as many as you can. As long as you can. Time was of the essence.

Tsehay Moqe frowned and then said, “Speak your piece then!”

She maintained a shield around her and the survivors around her, she wanted to strike back but the destruction was untenable, she could not give up though. If she was given a brief reprieve she would take it, they needed to buy time.

“Good, I find extreme violence is the best silencer. Alert what you consider your world leaders to begin the transition. We shall return in three years’ time to finalize the annexation. If you resist, then we will decimate your population. One in ten shall suffer for such folly.”

“This is a gift, your people will be elevated, you will truly live in a golden age and this world will prosper.”

“Three years by your time keeping a blip in time for our species,” she finished. “Be awed and prepared, and if you choose to resist, millions will suffer.”

A doorway opened in reality behind her and she floated back through.

A few of the ninja crows survived the hand swipe; and decided to take out their frustration on Frankie, who was trying to swat them away with her own hands only to flail about wildly while the blue calamity class menace floated back through the reality portal.

Frankie came out of hiding, stumbled about, and yelled: "Yeah, you'd *better* run!"

Then fell over flat on her face.

"Ow, fuck."

Then she tried pushing herself back up, and started hobbling over to the nearest unconscious person. Which might be the fellow teleporter. Or just some random person. At least maybe she could actually be semi effective at helping them. Even if the ninja crows were still harassing her.

Galatea returned to her normal size as liquid gold began covering her and her hair thickened into wires. Brute force won't do now, now they need speed and logistics.

She immidiately send a message directly to Ayesha, trying to assure her safety from afar. She then contacted ADINA for support. (Last hero point to save Ayesha).

She then sent a message to all technological devices in the area with a plan of evacutation

''This is Galatea from Elite Academy. The immediate assault has stopped but danger in still present please evacuate the immediate affected sectors following the plan provided. If innacurate, if you are trapped and/or wounded or if see know someone who is please reply to this message and I will relay the information or give you further instructions.''

Bea continued to help save every person she could. She couldn't comprehend the scale of the damage yet. The number of lives lost.

But she kept thinking: Is this my fault? She did this because I touched her mind. I only wanted to keep her from hurting people. But I wasn't strong enough.

Would she have done this harm anyway?

If this is who she is, anyone who sent her is unfit to rule.

Ayesha sent back a message, “WTF was that? The city is burning, and just… gurl, is this our fault? I thought we fixed everything!”

The short sentences indicated quite clearly that she did not have quite the leisure to talk

''Glad you are well, Gurl''

She strained herself to coordinate and support the rescue effort, using everything at her disposal to take in and triage as much intel as possible to send them to the relevant services

Meanwhile she stood still as a golden statue, unable to sense her immediate surroundings by her own senses.

Bea worked tirelessly with emergency services. Her bee form and senses were well suited for finding people needing rescue. And animals.

So much destruction. Her heart hurt.

But there, on the horizon, the white spires of the temple were still standing. A tear rolled down her cheek.

God was in charge of this universe. Nothing could change that.
