Night on the farm (day 3, MN)

[Galatea]

''Oh? You were in a quite combative mood earlier. Meeting face to face does not seem very wise.''

a pause

''In fact I do not even know what you look like, would you really give someone a way to recognize you? Think carefully. I managed to find this place...others could to. You should be more careful.''

[Frozen Shadow]

"I offered a middle ground. I'm not hiding, I'm not in some safe house protection, I was invited to this country! And if you keep this up...."

There was a pause again as she took a calming breath.

"Look, you came here looking for something. If it's not me then it's in this place right? If you want the information you will have to talk to me. And if it's me you're failing at that too because you gave yourself away anyway so I'm willing to believe it's information. So it's up to you."

[Galatea]

''Leaving paper notes is not usually the foreshadowing of a surprise attack, that is true.''

a pause

''There is a silky oak tree a short distance west from the farm. I'll meet you there.''

Then there was the picture of flowers

[Frozen Shadow]

She looked at the picture for a moment before nodding.

"Deal. I'm hanging up now."

[Galatea]

"See you soon"

She switched to form three again and moved to the tree

[Frozen Shadow]

The girl hung up and switched off the phone again, moving to the other room and grabbing her hoodie. She then paused, and frowned, before tossing it away and just taking her mask out of it and putting it on. After going over each window in the upstairs and making sure every one of them was closed she left and locked the front door, carrying her board and walking in the direction of the tree.

Galatea being there already would see the girl approach warily - a smallish looking girl with black and white hair, wearing a mask over the top of her face down to just above her lips, which seemed to almost be made of ice. In the dark it'd be difficult to make out much else.

"If you're there speak."

[Galatea]

Arachnea observed the girl as she came closer. While she guessed they were around the same age, the girl did look like she was on the small side.

''I am'' she replied from the cover of the tree's foliage

[Frozen Shadow]

She drew closer to the tree before stopping and looking up.

"You asked who I was, you agreed to meet so I'll answer. I am Frozen Shadow, invited by the UNJE to watch and see what's going on here. Now why are you looking for Eric Gibson?"

[Galatea]

Arachnea looked down at the girl, unsure of what to make of her.

''A doomsday prophet keeps yapping about him. They say he's gonna destroy the world within a few months. While that sounds off, I have started to believe that something is going on with him and that it would be prudent to investigate in case he needs to be truly stopped.''

[Frozen Shadow]

There was a frown.

"Destroy the world?"

There was a pause as she looked down at the ground, and then finally a sigh as she looked back up.

"Yep. More than likely he would and in fact could do something like that, he needed to be stopped a long time ago doing what he does. Why did he have to turn up in this country of all places...starting to think Jane planned this whole thing on purpose. So what, you're the powerful elite that's going to stop him when he's evaded and avoided being stopped for over a decade then?"

[Galatea]

''Me? Oh no dear...'' she waived a hand around ''...I am not powerful, I am more of a subtle kind of elite.''

She tilted her head

''But I know people and I can try to stop what he's doing at the moment''

[Frozen Shadow]

"I see."

There was a frown again.

"And that's why you're here? For what Jane left laying around?"

[Galatea]

''Maybe. I noticed someone here made a search for Eric Gibson so I came to investigate and it seems that was a good choice.''

She tilted her head

''So, what do you know about Eric Gibson?''

[Frozen Shadow]

"A lot. More than anyone else here, and what I didn't know before coming here I now know too. So I know what he's capable of, I've seen it first hand."

There was a clench of her fists for a few moments before she unclenched them.

"There is a computer, I don't have the password for it so I haven't searched anything but Jane used this place a lot for many things and I'd bet plenty of stuff is stored on there. If you want to access it, you can. You can even take it away with you but as Jane comes back from time to time that might not be smart. However there's a catch, if you're getting involved with dealing with him once and for all I want in."

[Galatea]

She listens and notes the movement

''You just need to power it up it and I should be able to access it from here. If you power up your phone I can send you a number where you can reach me. We'll keep contact.''

[Frozen Shadow]

There was a small pause, before she finally nodded.

"Alright. The phone is inside so I'll need to go back anyway. There's paper files also, lots of them, if you want to look at those also."

[Galatea]

''And so I am lured back in?'' the eyes of her mask narrowed ''Very well. We are on the same page as far as Gibson is concerned.''

[Frozen Shadow]

"If we're going to stay in contact then unless you plan to hide in trees all the time it would make sense to actually work together. If I wanted to do something I already would have after you admitted to being a subtle elite instead of a powerful elite."

She moved back from the tree to give the woman space.

"If you are true about wanting to deal with Gibson then you'll have my protection and my assistance until the man is dealt with and after that you'll never need to hear from me again."

[Galatea]

''Confident aren't we?''

Arachnea summersaulted away from the tree with surprising grace

''If so you wish. Lead the way''

[Frozen Shadow]

There was a shrug at that before she started her walk back to the farm.

"Better to be confident than dead. I get the idea you don't need to worry about either too often, but you should if you're dipping into this stuff. He's got powerful allies."

It wasn't a long walk to the farm and Shadow had walked quickly while keeping a wary eye around her. The door was quickly unlocked and she went inside.

"There's also a room downstairs. I didn't investigate it because I didn't want to, but the main information is in a room upstairs."
