[Pre-Game Tuesday 10th - LM] Frozen Arrival

[Dapper Dog]

She can get in with a few scrapes but she is now inside, there are some folders labeled Case Files with a number identifier, some have a stamp with Closed, others with a stamp saying On Hold, and others with a stamp that reads Transferred. After looking through a few folders they seem to be tracking events around the globe dealing with Elites, suspected terrorist, criminals, and Elites of interest.


There is a folder by the computer that is open and there is a photo with a sticker that reads Eric Gibson. The case file status is listed as On Hold on the cover. Case File 347-G.

As she flicked through what was there, picking a few up to check, she noticed the open folder. Seeing the photo her eyes widened and she dropped what she was holding.

Taking a few moments to recover from seeing his face, she instantly went through all information that was in that folder to find out whatever she could.

The folder is for an incident of piracy that seems to have been resolved by a local Elite named Teshay Moqe, the goods seized were traced back to illegal weaponry and gear sold by a weapons dealer named Eric Gibson with ties to Rising Eagle but seems to be working with a mercenary outfit called Mokele Mbembe.

There are potential sightings of Eric in Mudaba Adin as recent as last week, though these notes are handwritten on sticky notes attached to the interior of the file.

On the conspiracy board she sees the same picture of Eric and a sticky by it with Project Oz and a question mark. There is no mention of Project Oz in the case files or others she can glance through but there seems to be dozens of such files and folders around the room.

Not again not again not again...why is he here? Is he following me?

Her hands were shaking a little as she went through what she could. She had no idea who this outfit was or what Project Oz was, but she remembered what he was doing in the past and knew it had to be related somehow. Turning around to look elsewhere she stepped on the folders she dropped and realised she needed to clear up quickly. So she picked up the folders, put them back around where they had been, then looked at the computer. She was pretty certain there'd be no way it was unlocked but she tried anyway.

Once that was confirmed or not, she'd look for blank pieces of paper and a pen.

The computer comes online with a hum and is sitting at a login for SAJForester to some kind of UNJE network. Out front she hears the car pulling up.

She can find pen and paper.

Shit.

She quickly powered down the computer, then moved to the window to peek out staying hidden while doing so. Making notes would have to wait.

By the time she gets finished up, Janet is in the kitchen unloading a few things. Spare lights, lubricant for the drones and equipment, and some extra food. She also put down a box for her mobile and then said, “Get a chance to explore the grounds?”

Thankful that she seemingly wasn't caught, Shadow rubbed her arms and looked away saying "it's kinda big. Good thing we got the machines."

Then there was a pause, and a frown. She looked at her arms and with a quick "be back in a sec!" dashed out to find her hoodie which she'd dropped in the room over.

Janet shrugged slightly and kept putting things away. Her jacket was off exposing her pistol in her shoulder holster over her white blouse.

Returning back with her hoodie in place (but her hood down for once, showing her bright blue eyes and black&white hair) she stayed near the doorway watching.

"You were gone a while, closest store really that far? Anything I can help with?"

[Dapper Dog]

“About 30 klicks to Chira from here, but it was a good ride. If you want to do something go ahead and get your mobile setup, should be ready for you to setup your login,” she responded.

“Just about done anyways. Oh,” she said reaching into her pocket and tossed some metal keys to Mimi. “Those keys should open any door in the house.”

The girl caught and pocketed the keys, a bit annoyed to get them now but hid it well.

"Huh, ok. I'll give it a go can't be too hard I'm sure" she moved over to unbox the phone "just gotta like set code for signing in and stuff right? Then I need your number, oh and stop any tracking stuff. I can't fly as fast as a car but I also don't need roads, I watched the direction you went in as far as I could from on top of the building so I think I'll work out where to go."

“I am sure you will figure it out,” Janet responded. Once everything was put away she went into the fridge to grab a cold bottle of water and said, “If you had any questions about the property now would be the time. Otherwise I am going to get out of here. I got some work in the city.”

She closed the fridge and then put her contact details on the door using a magnet.

While fiddling with the phone she idly said "do I have to worry about crops and plants or is that all picked and stored away manually? Not sure what this farm actually farms, didn't see any animals."

“Mostly just maize and a small batch of coffee. The drones should handle the bulk of the work and we have a deal with some locals to take it into the city to sell to the schools. It won’t require anything from you but don’t freak out if you see a truck for loading the crops.”

“No farm animals, it keeps things easier for us.”

"Oh easy then" there was a nod "aha, phone set up now. What about that wireless network thing, do I need a password or anything?"

[Dapper Dog]

Janet gave her the wireless info and then said, “Well I need to get going. Call me if you need anything. Otherwise I will see you in a few days.”

[Frozen Shadow]

"Thanks, I'll try not to break or freeze anything" she walked to the door with Janet "I think I'm well stocked enough, I don't eat a lot after all. I'll go check out the school as well but I can do that on my own anyway."

“Alright,” she said warmly.

“Just, be safe.” She grabbed her coat and goes out to her car. As she gets in her phone goes off she answers it and pulls away leaving her alone on the farm.

The girl watched as the car drove off, waiting long enough for it to be a long way away before closing the door and instantly dashing back up the stairs to the locked door. Trying different keys on it to open it.
