I started out with wanting to make a character with teleporting powers, inspired by Nightcrawler (Marvel) and Number Five (Umbrella Academy) mostly because their fight scenes in movies/TV are really cool. I stole the name "Thousand Miles" from the old Chinese saying, and came up with the "TikTok teen" thing while trying to come up with interesting complications/motivations for him.
