"You can keep worrying about your tables until the Ultrum take over our reality. No? If I didn't know better, I would say whoever is pushing this narrative of divisão is trying to make it easier for the Ultrum, maybe working with them. No?"

He looked to Bea, remembering what she had theorized the day after their Herald had delivered her message. He thought it extravagant and unnecessary at the time, but maybe there was truth to it. Maybe the Ultrum weren't as strong as they seemed.

Ultimate Frankie rolled her eyes and said, “You know I am all for cheering on the effort but maybe there is a time and place for that, and not everything has to be doom and gloom, yeah? It’s not like everyone is just sitting at home counting down the days to some supposed doomsday right?”

“People can’t live focused on the negative, yeah?”

“Anyways,” she said with mild frustration, “I agree we must stay focused but people need more than just constant reminders of things they can’t control. It just seems like some folks are just focused on showing a doom and gloom message, init. Bruv, we got to be about more than that, right?”


"Like folks want to know if you're still dating, the other, other Frankie," she said to Camilo.

“I am not sure what you mean by tables, but I am glad you are so focused on this event,” she said with mild confusion to Camilo.

"Perhaps you should listen to your guests then. This Frankie is more concerned with who is allowed at their 'table' than facing this threat with every resource available. Pantheon has powerful Elites that we will need to fight alongside us. And we will fight together or we will all be enslaved. I have seen what they do to those they conquer."

"Like folks want to know if you're still dating, the other, other Frankie," she said to Camilo.

Camilo narrowed his eyes at the monitor displaying Ultimate Frankie, "You know she's gone home. And if you didn't, then your head is even deeper in the sand or up some crevice than I thought."

Ayana agreed and said, “Yeah I am not sure where all this is coming from but everyone is working hard to protect us from this threat.”

''So your position is to give people bread and circuses, Ultimate Frankie?'' She asked the screen ''I must admit I am not quite as cavalier as you in dismissing the genuine concerns or the capacity of those we are supposed to be serving and protecting. It is not because someone does not have fancy abilities that they are powerless or can be discounted. Implying otherwise, like you are, is uncomfortably close to supremacist thinking.''

She paused

''While there is many in the UNJE that are exemplary in their devotion to well being of all, there are growing doubts amongst the people I go meet about the transparency of the organization and the ethics or their behavior. That is quite a shame and the response to the attacks does not help that train of thought. Until trust can be restored I feel the urge to also advocate for local action: There is a great amount of resilience and solidarity that can be found in local communities, no matter where people are.''

[Ultimate Frankie]

Ultimate Frankie rolled her eyes and said, “It’s a pretty normal saying among folks without a chip to grind, yeah? There is plenty I can’t control, init, that’s a pretty human thing to admit we all have limitations. But if you want to go bitch-mode and try and make it look like Pantheon Network, go for it.”

“Just being real, bruv, the people know what’s coming, the people know their gov’ts’ and the UNJE are working to do what we can to protect them. They don’t need me to patronize them like this is the first time they’re hearin’ this, yeah? They ain’t tunin’ in to our show just for this doom and gloom, they want to be entertained and know what we been up to, init?”

"Bruvs! Bruvs!" Frankie suddenly raised her hands and lowered them again.

"It's chill, yeah? Actually, Frankie is on the case. I mean, all the Frankies. Well, a lot of us. There's like... dozens of us now. Probably multiple dozens, counting was never my strong suit, yeah? Clown Frankie is fine, by the way," she said, briefly looking at Camilo, "Unless the one I checked up on was *another* clown Frankie, which is possible. There's an infinite number of Frankies, after all. Anyway, we're all working to establish multiversal peace and prosperity, yeah? Don't worry, we got you guys covered. I mean, actually maybe do worry a little because getting the infinite Frankies up to infinite numbers will take infinite time, and the Ultrum Empire are like, pretty dangerous and stuff. But still, people are a working on it and basically I'm saying like, we're all on the same team and we shouldn't give in to the doom and gloom but we also shouldn't like, shrug and get focused on skin-care routines like there's nothing to worry about yeah?"

[Ultimate Frankie]

"I can second that, been working closely with Frankie on this whole project," Ultimate Frankie said.

"I believe in forgiveness and I believe that if we keep fighting because of past wrongs then the fighting will never stop. No? It will be an endless cycle, no, a spiral into destruction. You will never fight your way to peace. These are wounds that must be healed, not reopened over and over again."

Camilo was taken aback. He'd seen her fate. Over and over again she gave her life for another. Had something changed? Was that another trick by Xaos?

He mouthed the words, 'Thank you.' To Frankie.

"It is a valid question. Is the enemy of my enemy my enemy's enemy and nothing more? If we face an uncertain threat that has shown it can deploy incredible power against us, should we seek out as many allies as we can regardless of their affiliations?" Arturo pondered. "There's risk either way. Perhaps we can afford to be selective, but where do we draw the line? Who do we trust and how far? It would depend on their crimes, most likely, and what they could contribute, a case by case basis. That would seem reasonable. Accepting help from anyone would obviously be extreme, and would be reckless. Turning away anyone just because they ask questions like these, would also seem like an overreaction."

[Bee Haw]

Bea looked uncomfortable as the conversation grew more argumentative.

"It is only reasonable that former conflicts will be laid aside in the face of an external enemy. We are working together across faiths. We are working together in communities, side by side, no longer as occupied with prior divisions of race or class. And yes, Pantheon has a troubled history. But they have been contributing to the research in how we stop this. And it needs us working together!"

"We can all set aside past argument," a look at the group, "and focus on being ready for what is to come. And that does not have to be all doom and gloom. We can celebrate the triumph of the human spirit. The courage. The honesty. The diligence. The intelligence. The cooperation. The grace to look past prior fault. We can remember, when we have triumphed against this foe, how we stood together in these months and years, when we had the chance to do so. How everyone contributed. How everyone had the opportunity to help get ready."

[Galatea]

No matter how media trained someone is, you can't get Frankie out of Frankie. Meanwhile Galatea remained cool but with in of genuine care for topic and the people's concerns

''Chip to grind? I am afraid you will have to clarify your though here, darling. Yes, the people know what's coming and that is because some of us kept to the truth. It is also true we have limits but that does not mean people can't do a lot to improve their communities with social action without having to depend on those more powerful to do it in their stead.''

She got herself more comfortable in her seat

''Perhaps this is a difference in how we see things. While there certainly was a show going on, there was a whole lot that happened outside of it. I put my priority on helping those I could even when the cameras were off or absent, you chose otherwise, we all walk different roads. I can't judge you...I have to recognize that I have the priviledge of being able to go out there without requiring a pay check to do so or he promise of one.''

[Ultimate Frankie]

She rolled her eyes and said, “Oi, oh fuck off mate, I was doing what I could before working with the UNJE, yeah. You just here to grind an axe and feel high and mighty about something we are all doing. Look whatever went down with you and the powers that be, ain’t none of my business, yeah. But stop trying to drag me into your drama.”

“Look if you want to work with criminals out of desperation, go for it, but I think we are not at that point of desperation and redemption is cool but people need to earn it, yeah. Pantheon Network wants a seat at the table then put their money where their mouth is bruv. Do the work, yeah. Otherwise, it’s useless talk.”

[Ayana Kebede]

Ayana frowned and said, “I think if bad people want to help, fine, but that does not erase the bad they did. Right? And like Arturo said, we would have to take it case by case, but I am not sure I feel comfortable talking about this let alone making that decision.”

[Bee Haw]

"Ayana. Tidal Wave, I should say. Congratulations! I'm glad Mudaba Adin has a person here on the ground to replace our friend who is to lead the Elite Guard. You were a great contestant and roommate. Your powers are impressive."

"On that terrible day, when so much damage was done here, did it matter the history of the person who reached out a hand and saved the next person in peril? Did it matter what a person had done Tuesday, if on that day, they kept a building from collapsing? Would I have cared who it was that saved the animal shelter if someone had been nearby and able to save it and all the animals within?"

"All I want to say to those watching today is this ... no one is perfect. Everyone has made mistakes in their life. But on the day when your neighbors are under attack, know that it's going to be okay to help. It's going to be welcome. It's going to be all of us. All of us. Against alien invaders who would kill or enslave us. Don't hesitate from shame. Don't hesitate from fear that you will be judged or mocked. Do all the good you can on that day. And, maybe maybe, the hand extended today will encourage you to do a bit more good between now and then. I can always hope. Share what you know. Brainstorm. This is the time to prepare. I do not want one human life lost unnecessarily because we rejected aid offered with the goal of saving the world we most definitely all share."

Ayana said, "I think that's a big question. I would have to think about it."

“The fans are divided, many say give everyone a chance but it looks the majority by a slim margin are still pretty leery of giving Pantheon a pass,” she said. “So, it seems like there could be room for that.”

She brought up an image of the poll with 54% against Pantheon and 44% for working with them.

"Claro. There is no forgiveness for the ones that don't want it, the ones who can't put the past behind them. But we do not need to be like them. We do not need to lie over and over again," He gestures to Ultimate Frankie, "about who is doing what. The lies we've heard and seen exposed make me wonder what other lies there are that weren't exposed?

Some or most of Pantheon may not be willing to put their own prejudices aside, but it sounds like some already are. Pushing them away only hurts us and I question os motivos of those that do."
